(updated December 2025)
A free public collection of poetry books published by living and deceased writers with ties to the greater Capital Region of New York State (USA). The physical books are located in the home of Therese L. Broderick in Albany, New York.
Each of the poets named below has personal or professional ties–however briefly or tangentially–to Albany and nearby regions. Included are poets writing from the 17th to 21st centuries, early Dutch settlers, and descendants of the Mahican/Mohican peoples.
Not collected for the library are works by children and teenagers, as well as song lyrics not published as poetry.
To borrow these items at no charge or to examine them on site, contact the library’s custodian, Therese L. Broderick.
