Each of these seven bundles (of cardstock and paper scraps) is a poem-in-progress. This morning I revised for 45 minutes, poem after poem. When I work briskly in sequence, I avoid becoming paralyzed by perfectionism.

Here’s the proof copy of my new chapbook, soon to be published by the local Benevolent Bird Press and distributed by Rootdrinker Institute. These poems chart my aging mother’s 2012 injury, rehab, and recovery. The title refers to my mother’s dislodged vertebrae.
