I hung a poetry timeline on a pole in my poetry den. From Enheduanna and the Gilgamesh poet on up to the current century. The chronology reminds me of my place in history, keeping me humble. The pages of the timeline are from one appendix in a book I own, Poetry for Dummies.
Usually I remain standing while I work in my poetry den. Sitting puts me to sleep.
My poetry den is re-organized, cleaned, and primed for my two forthcoming projects. First project is a chapbook soon to be published by a local small press. Second project is a professionally-edited manuscript almost ready to be submitted to 2013 contests.
