APRIL 21 — Here’s my poem #21 for National Poetry Writing Month, composed in response to a prompt on ReadWritePoem: write about flaws or perfections.

.

…………………….FATAL FLAW

.

…………………….She wears a silver ring

…………………….set with a single pearl

…………………….marred by a simple blemish

…………………….smaller than a pencil point.

…………………….And to every new admirer, she offers

…………………….a magnifying glass.
